Michael Bokhaut is a Partner and the Co‑Chair of the Litigation and Condominium Practice Group at Carbert Waite LLP. Michael’s practice spans Commercial litigation, Condominium law, Construction Litigation, Estate Litigation, and Insurance Law. A graduate of the University of Alberta (JD), he has been recognized in ‘Best Lawyers in Canada’ for Corporate and Commercial Litigation since 2025, and ranked in ‘Chambers and Partners’ in 2025 and 2026 for Commercial Litigation.

In addition to his practice, Michael is deeply committed to community service. He regularly volunteers his time to provide free legal advice and is passionate about mentoring junior lawyers and internationally trained lawyers seeking to build their careers in Canada.

Michael has served on the GLC Alberta Board since 2024 and has now been appointed Treasurer of the association. In this role, he will focus on ensuring financial responsibility and transparency while continuing to champion initiatives that support internationally trained lawyers in successfully establishing and scaling their legal careers in Canada.
