Solomon Ngoladi

Solomon Ngoladi brings several years of international experience spanning private law practice, securities regulation and enforcement, global standards-setting, and board governance.

 

A significant part of his career has been dedicated to protecting investors and upholding the integrity of capital markets. Solomon currently plays a key role in the enforcement of securities laws in Alberta by promoting whistleblower awareness, investigating potential breaches of securities law, and contributing to the development and refinement of whistleblower policies and procedures.

 

Previously, Solomon served as an Enforcement and Cooperation Advisor at the global standard-setting body for the securities market, based in Madrid, Spain. In that role, he significantly contributed to several enforcement projects and supported cross-border cooperation initiatives.

 

Earlier in his career, he worked as Enforcement Counsel with a foreign securities regulator, where he advised on complex enforcement matters and appeared before securities administrative panels and tribunals. He also practiced corporate/commercial law and litigation in two private law firms before moving to Canada.

 

Solomon is passionate about community building and advancing the interests of internationally trained lawyers (ITLs) in Canada. He has actively participated in several ITL initiatives in Canada, and currently volunteers his time to several charitable and public interest causes.
